Dramatic Integration Spring Workshop
Dramatic Integration Spring Workshop
Saturday, March 25 | 10am – 3pm
Admission is free; reservations are required
This interactive hands-on course explores how artistic praxis (the what, how and why of what artists do) can be used in the classroom to differentiate instruction and activate student engagement. We examine the habits of mind actors, directors and designers employ to produce theatrical works, and how deploying these in classrooms can lead to collaborative and authentic learning. Participants will gain hands-on experience with theatrical Viewpoints and rehearsal techniques that can be used to glean knowledge of students, facilitate inquiry and discussion, and develop engaging learning projects that are standards-based. Activities align with Common Core and National Arts Standards.
CPDUs offered. Lunch will be provided.
