Joining the Scenemakers Board offers young professionals the chance to learn more about the Goodman from the inside out and be part of an incredible network of theater-loving Chicagoans. You’ll see ground-breaking plays and musicals as part of our annual Scene Night events and engage with acclaimed actors, playwrights and directors at our board meetings.
You’ll expand your professional network while also doing good for the arts community by continuing our mission of expanding the Goodman’s audience and investing in arts education programs across the city.

Play your part at the Goodman: Become a Scenemakers Board Member
Scenemakers Board members drive the vision of the Scenemakers, are strong advocates for Goodman Theatre and support key audience development and fundraising initiatives through their commitment of time and resources.
Board Membership Requirements:
- Meet a minimum $1500 annual Give/Get (per fiscal year) that includes:
– Contributing a minimum personal contribution of $300
– Purchase at least two tickets to three Scenemakers events each season - Actively participate in Scenemakers Board meetings and social events
- Be an advocate—recruit membership, fundraise for the theater and introduce others in your network to the Goodman
