Joining the Scenemakers Board offers young professionals the chance to learn more about the Goodman from the inside out and be part of an incredible network of theater-loving Chicagoans. You’ll see ground-breaking plays and musicals as part of our annual Scene Night events and engage with acclaimed actors, playwrights and directors at our board meetings.
You’ll expand your professional network while also doing good for the arts community by continuing our mission of expanding the Goodman’s audience and investing in arts education programs across the city.

Play your part at the Goodman: Become a Scenemakers Board Member
Scenemakers Board members drive the vision of the Scenemakers, are strong advocates for The Goodman and support key audience development and fundraising initiatives through their commitment of time and resources.
Board Membership Requirements:
All Scenemakers Board members are expected to reach an annual $1500 give/get. As part of this give/get expectation, Board members are required to make a personal contribution of at least $300 and purchase at least two (2) tickets to each of the three Scene Night events. All financial contributions towards Scene Night ticket sales will be credited towards the give/get requirement.
