From designated college nights – where pizza and a play ticket is just $10 – to Artist Encounter event access and more, College Club members get the scoop on the latest Goodman happenings delivered straight to their inbox.

College Ambassadors

Goodman’s College Ambassadors are a select group of Chicago area college and university students that help the Goodman team with campus outreach and engagement. Our advocates are on the campus' front lines—College Ambassadors help connect students with Goodman productions and programs in new and innovative ways.

To apply, you must be a student currently enrolled in a Chicago-area university or college and be a member of the Goodman’s College Club. Applications for the 19/20 Season are due May 1. 

APPLY TO BE A COLLEGE AMBASSADOR

College Ambassadors have the following responsibilities:

  • Help promote College Nights to their peers and networks
  • Assist the Goodman team in targeting student organizations and university advertising or grassroots efforts
  • Distribute College Night flyers on their campus
  • Raise awareness about Goodman’s College Club through participation and assistance in promotions at student activity fairs and/or orientation activities throughout each semester
  • Volunteer at College Night if needed

College Ambassadors must consistently meet all of the above requirements for the entirety of the Goodman Theatre season in which they participate (September – July) 

College Ambassador perks include:

  • A FREE pair of tickets to each College Night throughout the season in which they participate  
  • Tickets to all productions throughout the Goodman season in which College Nights are not offered  
  • Tickets to exclusive events, including Artist Encounters 
  • Access to special membership events such as behind-the-scenes panel discussions, tickets to select opening night performances and more 
  • Networking and mentorship opportunities with Goodman Theatre staff
  • Periodic check-ins and promotions meetings that feature brain-storming sessions and remarks from a Goodman Artistic staff member
  • Access to events curated exclusively for College Ambassadors, featuring interactions with Goodman artists and networking with fellow Ambassadors


College Nights - Pizza and a Play

Goodman’s College Nights feature a pre-show reception – with pizza of course – where College Club members can mingle and meet fellow theater-loving college students and participate in a discussion with Goodman Theatre artists close to the production before attending a performance.

Tickets for Goodman’s College Nights are just $10! Ticket price includes the reception and the performance.

Student Ticket Program - 10TIX

For Albert Theatre productions
At 10am each performance day, the remaining rear three mezzanine rows and partial view boxes are available for $10 per ticket on GoodmanTheatre.org; just enter the promo code 10TIX prior to selecting performance date and seats. Also available in person at the box office starting at 12noon. A student ID must be presented when picking up tickets at will call; limit four tickets per student ID. All $10TIX purchases are subject to availability; not available by phone; handling fees still apply.

For Owen Theatre productions
Students may purchase advance tickets to any Owen Theatre production for $10 per ticket using the promo code 10TIX prior to selecting performance date and seats. These tickets are not limited to day of performances. All tickets are held at will call and a valid student ID must be presented to claim them. This offer is available online or in person only. Handling fees still apply for tickets reserved online.

On days with an evening performance, the Box Office is available by phone until one hour prior to curtain time and the walk-up window is open one half-hour after curtain time.
