- About the Goodman
Joan Clifford
JOAN CLIFFORD (Board of Trustees Chairman) is a past president of the Goodman Theatre Women’s Board of where she has been an active member since 2004. Joan joined the Board of Trustees in 2008 and has spent the past few years as Chair of the Endowing Excellence Campaign for the theater. After a career in Education, Joan went on to open and operate travel agencies both in Chicago as well as in London. She currently works as a docent at the Chicago History Museum and as the Director of Firm Administration for Clifford Law Offices. Joan was named one of the 10 women of Initiative in 2014 by the Naples Community Foundation of Collier County. She has served on various philanthropic boards both in Chicago as well as the Northwest suburbs. She is a trustee of the Naples Childrens Education Foundation where she serves as co-chair of the Grant Committee. She is also on the Board of the Naples Botanic Garden. Joan is married to Bob Clifford of Clifford Law Offices. Bob and Joan are both graduates of DePaul University of which they have remained very supportive. They have two children, both active in Chicago—Erin, an attorney and Tracy, a Fashion Style Consultant.
