Dave Fox is President of the Global Family & Private Investment Offices Group, and a member of the Operating Group of The Northern Trust Company. Prior to this role, Dave was Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas, Corporate & Institutional Services, with responsibility for all Northern Trust’s institutional businesses in North & South America.  Along with those duties, Dave was Chairman of the Northern Trust Company, Canada, Chairman of the Americas Business Oversight Committee, and the Americas Executive Management Committee.

Dave joined Northern Trust in 2012 after 25+ years at J.P. Morgan in New York and London, where he was Vice Chairman of Investment Banking, a member of the firm’s Investment Banking Management Committee, and CEO of Midwest Investment Banking. Dave’s prior experience at J.P. Morgan included roles as head of investment banking for various global industry sectors (transportation, shipping, industrials, chemicals and real estate). During his career he has advised clients on numerous M&A, restructuring and capital raising activities.

Dave holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University and has an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Goodman Theatre. Dave’s previous outside board positions include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Field Museum of Chicago, Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, the Executive’s Club of Chicago, and the Latin School of Chicago.  Dave is also a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago.

Dave and his wife, Alexandra, have three children.
