Matchmaking Directors and Designers:

Brief one-on-one conversations with potential collaborative partners

6:00PM – 7:30PM – In the Alice Rotunda (170 N. Dearborn St.)

 Get to know new artistic collaborators at this special event for emerging and early career BIPOC theatre directors and designers. This networking event is a chance for artists to meet and mingle – with the hope that brief one-on-one conversations may lead to opportunities for future collaboration. Each director and designer will have the chance to talk to 10 artists from the opposite discipline (if you are a designer you’ll get to speak with 10 directors and if you’re a director, you’ll get to talk with 10 designers).

Each pair will be given five minutes to meet, share a bit about themselves, and ask each other questions before moving on to the next collaborator conversation. Following these one-on-one conversations, there will be time to socialize with all artists in attendance and share upcoming projects or opportunities.

This event has a limited capacity and attendees will be curated from a short application process to ensure an equal number of BIPOC directors and designers. Please apply using the form below and you will be notified (by August 21st) once we have accepted 10 designers and 10 directors.
