BOOK UP! Theater for the Very Young Performance

Goodman Theatre’s 100 Free Acts of Theater will partner with the Chicago Park District and the Night Out in the Parks program to tour the Theater for the Very Young (TVY) production BOOK UP! to 12 park locations across the city, the third year of this partnership. Each performance will be followed by an interactive workshop and will last approximately one hour. BOOK UP! tells the story of a traveling librarian rolls into town with their magical book cart, ready to ignite imaginations with a mix of juggling, tumbling, clowning, and aerial acrobatics. Through a little wiggle, a lot of giggles and endless wonder, stories leap off the pages and come to life. This outdoor circus spectacle invites young children (ages 0-5) and their adult friends and family to move, play and experience the magic of reading together. BOOK UP! is designed specifically for children ages 0-5 and their adult companions, offering a fun and engaging way to explore the joy of storytelling and imagination.
