Artist Bio
Laura Stempel
(Bio as of January 2022)
Laura Stempel has been an academic, a teacher, a TV critic, a visual artist, a storyteller, a university administrator, a mediator, organizer and activist, and a consultant—some of them simultaneously. She has been writing professionally since the 1970s and has appeared in “live lit” programs with 2nd Story, Outspoken!, Cleaning Closets, and Do Not Submit, as well as several projects with the collaborative writing and performing group Lucky Pierre. In addition to working on her own writing, Laura is an editor and book indexer, and has been teaching with GeNarrations since 2013. More info at laurastempel.com.
