This workshop is designed to equip young thespians with the tools to enhance their storytelling through movement and dance. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or someone with limited experience, this class will teach you how to use dance as a powerful tool to develop characters, build stage presence, and elevate your performance. We’ll kick off with a warm – up and then dive into learning a dynamic Broadway – style combination, featuring choreography from actual shows. This blend of jazz, contemporary, and Fosse-inspired movement will give students an authentic taste of what it’s like to perform on a Broadway stage. Throughout the workshop, we will explore how movement choices can influence character development and storytelling. We’ll discuss the importance of physicality in building a character and how to make bold, informed choices on stage. The session will conclude with a Q&A, where students can ask questions about the choreography, the role of dance in theatre, or my experience on Broadway.
Tickets are FREE. Reservations are required.
