Susan Eloise Hinton (Author) was born on July 22, 1948 in Tulsa Oklahoma. Her early love of reading led to her early love of writing; she began in grade school. She is known for The Outsiders (1967), Rumble Fish (1975), Tex (1979), and Some of Tim’s Stories (2007). She has been married to David E. Inhofe since September 26, 1970. They have one child.
