Tommy Rapley most recently appeared at the Goodman in Turn of the Century during the 2008/2009 Season. He makes his Goodman debut. Chicago credits include All Night Strut at Marriott Theater in Lincolnshire, Carousel at Court Theatre and The Magnificents at The House Theatre of Chicago. He is a company member with—and choreographer for—The House, where he also serves as artistic administrator. Mr. Rapley has choreographed 13 world-premiere productions for The House, for which he has received three Jeff Award Nominations and two Jeff Award Citations for Outstanding Choreography (Cave with Man and The Sparrow). His directorial work for The House includes The Great and Terrible Wizard of Oz, Hope Springs Infernal, Ellen Under Glass and The Nutcracker, which premiered at Steppenwolf Upstairs Theatre last fall. Mr. Rapley received an After Dark Award for Outstanding Choreography for his dance-opera DORIAN, which he also co-wrote and directed at Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in 2006.
