Thomas J. Cox most recently appeared at the Goodman in Rock n' Roll during the 2008/2009 Season. A founding ensemble member of Lookingglass Theatre Company, he has appeared in more than 30 Lookingglass productions, including The Odyssey, The Jungle, West, Arabian Nights, The Master and Margarita, The Great Fire, They All Fall Down, Summertime, Great Men of Science, 1984, The Old Curiosity Shop (Jeff Award nomination), Black Diamond, Lookingglass Alice, as Algren in Nelson Algren: For Keeps and a Single Day (Jeff Award nomination) and most recently Our Town. Other Chicago performing credits include Woman in Black at Illinois Theatre Center; Fraulein Else and Raisin at Court Theatre; Pride and Prejudice and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at Northlight Theatre; Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me at Victory Gardens Theater; The Elephant Man at Steppenwolf for Young Adults; and the film for Attempters at The House Theatre of Chicago. His directing credits include work at Lookingglass Theatre Company (original Jeff Award-nominated adaptation), Eclipse Theatre Company, Piven Theatre Workshop and Weston Playhouse. His film credits are Since You’ve Been Gone (Miramax) and Chi-Girl (Van Lier Productions), and his television credits include Brotherhood (Showtime). Mr. Cox is also Master Teacher for Lookingglass Theatre Company and teaches for other theaters throughout Chicagoland, as well as at Northwestern University.
