Artist Bio

Internationally recognized as an artist and activist, Joan Lipkin works at the intersection of performance and civic engagement, as also seen through a racial and gender justice lens. Focused on such areas as LGBTQ+, disability, Black Lives Matter, reproductive choice and voting rights,  she is the recipient of numerous awards including Arts Innovator and Ethical Humanist of the Year, Visionary  and Lifetime Achievement.
