Heather Gilbert (Lighting Designer) returns to the Goodman, where she designed New Stages 2021, King of the Yees, Carlyle and Pedro Páramo. She made her Broadway debut with The Sound Inside by Adam Rapp at Studio 54 (Tony nomination, Drama Desk Award). Chicago designs include work at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Court Theatre, Steep Theatre, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Writers Theatre, and The Hypocrites. Regional and New York credits include Parade at New York City Center as well as designs at Barrow Street Theatre, Center Theatre Group, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Studio Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Huntington Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Alley Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Actors Theatre of Louisville. International credits include work with the Almeida Theatre in London. Heather received the NEA/TCG Career Development Grant and the 3Arts Award. She serves as the head of lighting design at Columbia College Chicago and received her MFA at the Theatre School at DePaul.
