Philip Earl Johnson most recently appeared at the Goodman in the Horton Foote One-Act Plays during the 2007/2008 Season. He last appeared at the Goodman in Brutality of Fact directed by Michael Maggio. He played Joe Pitt in the National Tour/Royal George Theatre production of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika. Other Chicago credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; The Mystery Cycle at Court Theatre; The Herbal Bed at Chicago Shakespeare Theater; and Conquest of the South Pole at Famous Door. Other credits include Black/White Man at Mark Taper Forum’s New Works Festival, A Moon for the Misbegotten at Laguna Playhouse and the title roles in Macbeth, Cyrano de Bergerac, Coriolanus and Henry VIII at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. He can be seen as MooNiE in his solo comedy show Juggler, Ropewalker, Foolish Mortal! at The Bristol Renaissance Faire. Film credits include The Out of Towners and The Merry Gentlemen.
