Greta Oglesby most recently appeared at the Goodman in Gem of the Ocean during the 2002/2003 Season. Other Goodman credits include The Amen Corner, which was remounted at the Huntington Theatre in Boston. Now residing in Min­neapolis, her theater credits there include Penumbra Theatre's Joe Turner's Come and Gone and A Love Song for Miss Lydia; 10,000 Things Theatre's The Furies and King Lear; and the Chil­dren's Theatre's Beggars Strike. Other Chicago theater credits include Steppenwolf's Goodbye Stranger and Whispering City; ETA's God's Trombones, Song of Sad Young Men, The Trial of One Short Sighted Black Woman vs. Mammy Louise and Safreeta Mae, This Far By Faith and Union Station; Chicago Theatre Company's Shakin'the Mess Outta Misery; and Pegasus Players' Every Time I Feel the Spirit, in which she portrayed the famous Negro contralto Marian Anderson. Honors include the Black Theatre Alliance Award (BTAA) for her portrayal of Miss Shepard in CTC's Train Is Comin'; the Joseph Jefferson Award and BTAA for her role in CTC's Do Lord Re­member Me; and a Jeff nomination for her portrayal of Ophelia in ETA's Dream of Ophelia.
