The Visit
A world premiere
The Goodman proudly opens the second season in its new home with The Visit, a world premiere musical from Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally (Ragtime, Kiss of the Spider Woman) and the award-winning team of Kander & Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman).
Legendary leading lady Chita Rivera and Broadway great John McMartin star in the tale of Claire Zachanassian, the world’s wealthiest woman, whose offer of salvation to her hardship-stricken hometown comes at a horrifying price. The Visit is directed by the Goodman’s Tony Award-winning Associate Director Frank Galati, with choreography by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking.
