Artist Bio
Nan Withers-Wilson
(Bio as of October 2002)
Nan Withers-Wilson has served as voice and dialect coach for the Goodman Theatre productions of The Beard of Avon, House and Garden, A Christmas Carol, From the Mississippi Delta and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. As a voice and dialect specialist, her work spans regional and off-Broadway theater, television and film. Dr. Withers-Wilson is a member of the Theatre Department faculty at Loyola University Chicago and is the author of Vocal Direction for Theatre, the first book to be written on how the theater voice specialist functions as a collaborative artist within the production process.
