Charles Brown
Charles Brown (1946-2004) last appeared at the Goodman in King Hedley II during the 2000/2001 Season. Other Goodman credits include August Wilson’s Fences in 1986. A Tony Award nominee for Samm-Art Williams’ Home, Mr. Brown’s other Broadway stage credits included Neil Simon’s Rumors, The Poison Tree and The First Breeze of Summer. He was a 17-year veteran of the internationally acclaimed Negro Ensemble Company. Mr. Brown received his theatrical preparation at Howard University, Cleveland’s Karamu House and Robert Hooks’ D.C. Black Repertory Company.
