Béa Rashid

Béa Rashid is the di­rector of Dance Center Evanston and the artistic di­rector of the Evanston Dance Ensemble. She has designed choreography for the Goodman Theatre’s productions of House and Garden, A Christmas Carol and Romeo and Juliet; Steppenwolf Theatre’s The Libertine; Chica­go Opera Theater’s Hansel and Gretel, The Tender Land and Ariadne; and Light Opera Works’ Babes in Toyland, A Waltz Dream and Pirates of Pen­zance. In 1999 Ms. Rashid was the recipient of the Mayor’s Award for the Arts in Evanston.
