James F. Ingalls most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Camino Real during the 2011/2012 Season. Previous lighting designs for the Goodman include Stage Kiss; A True History of the Johnstown Flood; Magnolia; Passion Play: a cycle in three parts; The Clean House; Dollhouse; The Beard of Avon; House and Garden; The Young Man From Atlanta; The House of Martin Guerre; Three Sisters; The Merchant of Venice; Black Snow; The Good Person of Setzuan; The Visit; The Iceman Cometh; Uncle Vanya; Cry, the Beloved Country; The Night of the Iguana; Richard II; The Book of the Night; The Tempest and Galileo. Other work in Chicago includes Penelope, A Parallelogram and Endgame at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; Bitter Suite at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago; and Hercules at Lyric Opera of Chicago. Mr. Ingalls is the recipient of a Jeff Award and the Merritt Award for Excellence in Design and Collaboration. He often collaborates with The Wooden Floor dancers in Santa Ana, California.
