The Goodman is turning 100—and you are at the very center of this celebration.

As we step into this historic milestone, we find ourselves reflecting on what The Goodman truly means—not just as a theater, but as an active member of our city and community.

For us, The Goodman is a place where stories live and grow, where artists take risks and audiences open their hearts. It’s a space where people come together to explore what it means to be human—in all our complexity, joy and struggle. Where productions and programs connect us, challenge us and remind us we’re not alone.

This season, as we mark a century of that shared journey, we feel a deep gratitude for everyone who has brought this theater to life: the artists who dare to tell new stories, the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes, and most of all, the audiences who make this place feel like home night after night.

What excites us most about this moment is that The Goodman is not defined only by the last century. It’s also shaped by the energy and spirit we bring today, and by the possibilities we imagine together for the future. This season is our way of honoring that legacy while leaning into what’s next: new voices, new stories, new ways to connect.

We’re so grateful to share this celebration with you. Thank you for being part of The Goodman’s story—for your curiosity, your generosity and your love of theater. Here’s to the next hundred years of telling stories together.
