Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, a play by August Wilson directed by Goodman Theatre’s resident director Chuck Smith has been extended by popular demand through May 19! While we celebrate the success of this powerful production, we’d like to highlight the specialty drinks on our menu now through the run of the play.
Before the show or at intermission, place an order for The Holly’s House or The August Breeze to not only enjoy a flavorful cocktail, but to also support Deeply Rooted, a Dance Theater rooted in traditions of American and African-American dance and storytelling, dedicated to nurturing artists.
20% of the net sales for Joe Turner’s Come and Gone specialty drinks will go to Deeply Rooted.
About Deeply Rooted
Deeply Rooted performs nationally and internationally, connecting with diverse audiences through universal and soul-stirring themes. In Chicago, Deeply Rooted has performed at the Auditorium Theatre, the Shubert Theater, the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, and the Harris Theater for Music and Dance among other venues.
Deeply Rooted’s dance education programs launched with community-based residencies which have led to the current space at 17 N. State Street. Deeply Rooted’s core dance education programs include:

Its model dance facility and program will set the industry standard for rigorous technique in Black dance and amplify the global impact of Chicago’s South Side dance community.
