Artist Bio
Ray Wild
(Bio as of February 2001)
Ray Wild (1935-2004) appeared as Duncan in the 1964 Goodman production of Macbeth with Sam Wanamaker and understudied two roles in the Goodman’s recent mounting of Death of a Salesman. Other Goodman credits include House and Garden, Middle of the Night, Madam Columbe and The Visit. Earlier this year he was at Court Theatre and in Philadelphia in Desire Under the Elms. He played several roles in Next Theatre’s production of Are You Now or Have You Ever Been (Jeff Award, ensemble), where he also appeared in Macbeth and as the mayor in The Front Page. At Steppenwolf he has appeared in Golden Boy, The Crucible and 12 Angry Men. He has also worked with Roadworks, Touchstone, Raven, and Organic theaters, European Rep and others. Mr. Wild received his theater training at the Goodman School of Drama.
