Artist Bio
Philip Caldwell
(Bio as of October 2002)
Philip Caldwell most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Beard of Avon during the 2002/2003 Season. He includes among his credits musical director for the national touring company of the Second City and Tippi: Portrait of a Virgin, Manson the Musical, A Hairy Situation, Eat Lead Jackass (composer), Coed Prison Sluts and Madcap with Annoyance Theater. A founding member of A Faire Noyse and The Queen’s Broken Consort at Bristol Renaissance Faire, he was also the founder and director of the Greenbriar Recorder Consort at the Virginia Renaissance Festival from 1996 to 1998. He self-produced two recordings of English folk and Renaissance music, and is a faculty member in the theater conservatory at Roosevelt University’s College of the Performing Arts Mr. Caldwell is a graduate of the Sherwood Conservatory of Music and Columbia College Chicago.
