Artist Bio
Hollis Resnik
(Bio as of September 2010)
Ms. Resnik most recently appeared at the Goodman in Candide during the 2010/2011 Season. Ms. Resnik’s other Goodman credits include The Beard of Avon, A Little Night Music, The House of Martin Guerre, Book of the Night and Wings. Her Chicago credits include The Little Foxes, An Ideal Husband, Titus Andronicus, The Chairs, La Bête, The Learned Ladies and Man of La Mancha at Court Theatre, where she was also the Associate Director for Carousel. She appeared in Sweeney Todd at Ravinia Festival and in A Soldier’s Tale with Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She also appeared in Hairspray, Into the Woods and Anything Goes at Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire and Rough Crossing at Writers’ Theatre. Ms. Resnik’s national tours include Les Misérables, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Her regional credits include Margaret in The Light in the Piazza at Arena Stage; Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire at Cleveland Play House; and as Big/Little Edie in Grey Gardens at Philadelphia Theatre Company and Northlight Theatre. Her other regional credits include productions at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Alliance Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, Santa Fe Stages, Indiana Repertory Theatre and Arizona Repertory Theatre. Ms. Resnik is the recipient of nine Jeff Awards and two Sarah Siddons Leading Lady Awards. She is a graduate of Denison University.
