Artist Bio
Greg Vinkler

Greg Vinkler most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Rose Tattoo during the 2002/2003 Season. Other Goodman credits include The Beard of Avon, A Christmas Carol and Cyrano de Bergerac. His extensive Chicago credits include over 20 productions with Chicago Shakespeare, including King Lear, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, The Tempest, As You Like It, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, Measure for Measure, Othello and King John; Steppenwolf’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (also in London); St. Nicholas and Jest a Second at Victory Gardens; The Woman in Black with Blood-Curdling Productions; 84, Charing Cross Road and Later Life at Northlight; Pantomime and Macbeth at Court; Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All and The Runner Stumbles at Wisdom Bridge; Taking Steps at Drury Lane Evergreen Park; and Not Now, Darling at Forum Theatre. Regional credits include The Play’s the Thing at Pittsburgh Public Theatre; Greater Tuna, The Foreigner and Beyond the Fringe at Michigan’s Boars Head Theatre; and The Dining Room at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. Internationally, he has appeared in A Perfect Ganesh at Singapore Repertory Theatre, The Glass Menagerie at Vienna’s English Theatre and The Mousetrap at Vienna’s International Theatre. Mr. Vinkler is the artistic director of the Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin. He is the recipient of three Jeff Awards, two Artisan Awards, an After Dark Award, and was named best actor by Chicago Magazine in 2002.
