Artist Bio
Daniel Marcotte
(Bio as of October 2002)
Daniel Marcotte most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Beard of Avon during the 2002/2003 Season. Combining songs and stories with the Renaissance lute, he has performed throughout the Chicago area, inclining the University of Chicago, the Oriental Institute, the Chicago Field Museum, the Chicago Cultural Center and the Chicago Humanities Festival, and currently serves as the music director of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. His acting credits include Hurray for Hollywood!, Swingin’ and Swayin’, America and Sounds of the Season with Harmony Productions and ‘Tis the Season with Stage Right Dinner Theatre. Mr. Marcotte received a B.M. in Voice Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Masters of Music in Historical Musicology and a Certificate of Early Music from Florida State University.
