Dan Covey

Dan Covey most previously collaborated with the Goodman on Beyond Glory during the 2005/2006 Season. Mr. Covey also designed Tribute Productions’ Beyond Glory. Other credits include Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Melissa Arctic and The Tempest at Folger Theatre; Headsman’s Holiday, Mary’s Wedding and Slaughter City at Theater Alliance; columbinus at Round House Theatre; Hannah & Martin and Passing the Love of Women at Theater J; Oleanna, Chesapeake and Edmond at Source Theatre; The Seagull, Arcadia and The Return to Morality at Repertory Stage; Donna Q at Signature Theatre; The York Realist at the Studio Theater; The Odyssey of Telémaca, Perseus Bayou and Sing Down the Moon at Theater of the First Amendment; The Mineola Twins and The Big Slam at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company; Dancing in the Wings, The Light of Excalibur and Dreams in the Golden Country at Kennedy Center; The Miser, The Laramie Project and She Loves Me at Olney Theatre Center; and Two Trains Running, A Lesson Before Dying and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone at ACTCo. Though Mr. Covey works primarily in the Washington, D.C. area, he has also designed nationally for Perseverance Theatre, the McCarter Theater, the Arden Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Florida State Opera in Tallahassee and others. He is a Helen Hayes Award-winning lighting designer and a member of the UnitedScenic Artists Local 829.
