Artist Bio
Amy Freed
(Bio as of October 2002)
Amy Freed most recently collaborated with the Goodman on The Beard of Avon during the 2002/2003 Season. She is the author of Freedomland (L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award, Pulitzer finalist), The Psychic Life of Savages (Kesselring Award, Charles MacArthur Award), Claustrofilia and other plays. Her work has been produced at South Coast Rep, Seattle Rep, American Conservatory Theatre, Playwright’s Horizons and other theaters around the country. Her new play, The Cotton Mather Story, commissioned by South Coast Rep, begins development next spring at SCR’s Pacific Playwrights Festival.
