Artist Bio
Cedric Young
(Bio as of February 2015)
Cedric Young returns to Goodman Theatre, where he previously appeared in Carlyle (New Stages Festival), Dartmoor Prison, Mary and Vivisections from the Blown Mind. Other Chicago credits include Bus Stop, Betrayal and Low Winter Sun (American Theater Company); Living Green and Affluenza! (Victory Gardens Theater); Race: How Blacks and Whites Think and Feel About the American Obsession (Lookingglass Theatre Company); Master Harold…and the Boys, A Clockwork Orange and The Song of Jacob Zulu (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Court Theatre, Jeff Award nomination for Best Ensemble). Mr. Young’s Broadway credits include The Song of Jacob Zulu and Radio Golf (standby). Regionally he has appeared in I Just Stopped by to See the Man (Milwaukee Repertory Theater); Fences (Portland Stage) and Jitney (Atlanta’s True Colors Theatre Company). Mr. Young’s film credits include Backdraft, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Paper, Joshua and Nothing Like the Holidays. On television he has appeared in Boss, ER, Ghost Writer, Early Edition and The Chicago Code.
