The Goodman is located at 170 North Dearborn St, in the heart of Chicago’s downtown “Loop” neighborhood, and is conveniently located in close proximity to major highways and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, as well as major CTA rail lines and many bus routes.”

Located on the southeast corner of Clark and Lake Streets. Goodman Theatre patrons get $21 pre-paid parking*.

THEATRE DISTRICT SELF PARK (TD) – 181 N. DEARBORN STREET

Located across from the theater on Dearborn Street. Goodman Theatre Patrons get $24 pre-paid parking*.

Parking passes are completely flexible; you can use them during any performance date or time during the 2025/2026 Season (through August 2026).

All passes must be purchased in advance and scanned upon entry and exit of the garage. Make sure to record your garage selection and reference your printable barcode for location and instructions.

Does the Goodman Charge fees for tickets?

Yes, The Goodman charges a $9 per ticket service fee for most tickets (group orders have fees waived). The service fee is included in the total price upfront when browsing for your performance date/time. 

 


What happens if I’m late to a show?

To cause the least amount of disruption to the performance and to other patrons, if you arrive late you’ll be seated at the discretion of the house manager. You might not be seated in your assigned seats until intermission. Until you are seated, you may watch the performance on the monitor located in the lower lobby.

 


Are the theaters accessible?

Yes, both the Albert and the Owen theaters are fully accessible. If you require wheelchair-accessible seating, please contact the Box Office at 312.443.3800. For more information on accessibility, click here.

 


Do the theaters have listening devices?

Both the Albert and the Owen are equipped with FM frequency assistive listening devices. You may use your own headphones, or they will be provided for you. In addition, neck loops are available that are compatible with t-coil hearing aids. Devices are available at the Guest Services desk in the Goodman lobby. Assistive listening devices are offered free of charge, but a driver’s license or valid ID is required as security. For more information, please visit GoodmanTheatre.org/Access.

 


May I bring my children to the theater?

The Goodman offers a wide range of programming, and the age-appropriateness varies. The Goodman’s annual production of A Christmas Carol is appropriate for children aged 6 and up. In general, babes in arms are not permitted in the theaters.

Many of the Goodman’s subscription shows are appropriate for teens. If you have questions about the age-appropriateness of any show, please call the Box Office at 312.443.3800.

 


Do all shows have an intermission?

Most shows at the Goodman have at least one 15-minute intermission. On rare occasions, however, a show may be performed without intermission. Performance run times and intermission information are added to the play pages as they become available, are included in performance reminder emails for ticket holders and also posted on the theater doors and theater program at your performance.  

 


What is the dress code at the Goodman?

At a Goodman performance, you’ll see all sorts of dress—from elegant cocktail attire to business casual to jeans. The rule of thumb is, wear what makes you feel most comfortable.

 


How can I be contacted in case of emergency?

If you need to leave a number for a sitter or relative, please leave the emergency performance phone number: 312.443.5555. Also, be sure to give them your seat locations and the name your tickets are under.
