Blood Red is a free, BIPOC-led horror arts salon created to celebrate the artists and stories that often exist outside traditional theatre spaces. Through staged readings, conversations, and multidisciplinary performances, the salon creates a space where emerging artists can explore “inconvenient art” while building connection with audiences who may not always see themselves represented in traditional theatre environments. At its core, Blood Red is not just a performance, but a gathering that creates space for emerging artists to share daring new work while inviting audiences into conversations that continue long after the lights come up. By removing financial barriers and centering neighborhood-based programming, the salon seeks to make experimental theatre more accessible to the communities it serves.
