Artist Bio
Victoria Clark
(Bio as of January 2004)
Victoria Clark most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Light in the Piazza during the 2003/2004 Season. She created the role of Alice Beane in Titanic on Broadway. Other Broadway roles include Smitty in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Victoria in A Grand Night for Singing, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. Off-Broadway, she created the role of Hazel in Marathon Dancing directed by Anne Bogart for En Garde Arts. Other world premieres include Mother Ann Lee in States of Independence, by Tina Landau and Ricky Ian Gordon for American Music Theatre Festival in Philadelphia; Martha in The Secret Garden for Virginia Stage; and Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza for the Intiman Theatre (Seattle). Feature film credits include Dulce Fox in Tim Robbins’ Cradle Will Rock. Television credits include the Beggar Woman in the Emmy Award-winning Sweeney Todd in Concert televised on PBS, Law and Order, and Law and Order, Special Victims Unit.
