Artist Bio
Teagle F. Bougere
(Bio as of May 2010)
Teagle F. Bougere most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Good Negro during the 2009/2010 Season. Mr. Bougere’s Broadway credits include Asagai in A Raisin in the Sun and Caliban in The Tempest with Patrick Stewart directed by George C. Wolfe. His off-Broadway credits include Macbeth, Henry V, Timon of Athens, Antony and Cleopatra directed by Vanessa Redgrave and Space written and directed by Tina Landau, all with The New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater; A Soldier’s Play at Second Stage Theatre; A Fair Country at Lincoln Center Theater; and Last Dance For Sybil (with Ruby Dee) at New Federal Theatre. His regional credits include Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (Loomis) and Blue Door, both directed by Delroy Lindo at Berkeley Repertory Theatre; Gee’s Bend at Hartford Stage; Blue/Orange at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California; and Othello (with Patrick Stewart) at Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. Mr. Bougere was a company member at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. for five seasons where he appeared in more than 30 productions. His film credits include Hill and Gully (fall 2010) written and directed by Patrice Johnson, A Night at the Museum, The Imposters, The Pelican Brief, Two Weeks Notice and What the Deaf Man Heard. Mr. Bougere’s television credits include Conviction, Cosby, The Job, Third Watch, Law & Order and Murder in Black and White.
