Suzzanne Douglas

Suzzanne Douglas, a native of Chicago, most recently appeared at the Goodman in Drowning Crow during the 2001/2002 Season. She includes among her credits Vivian Bearing in Wit and Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. both at George Street Playhouse. On Broad­way, Ms. Douglas appeared opposite Sting in The Threepenny Opera, and was also seen in Into the Woods, The Tap Dance Kid and It’s a Grand Night for Singing. Her film credits include Tap (winner- NAACP Image Award), How Stella Got Her Groove Back (winner- Black Oscar Award), Jason’s Lyric and Inkwell. Television credits include The Parent ‘Hood, and guest appear­ances on NYPD Blue, Touched By an Angel, Promised Land, The Parkers and I’ll Fly Away. This production marks her first stage appearance in Chicago.
