Artist Bio
Steve Key
(Bio as of October 2014)
Steve Key returns to the Goodman, where he previously appeared in Vigils, Zoo Story and Blue Surge (Jeff Award nomination, Actor in a Supporting Role). Mr. Key has worked with many Chicago theater companies including A Red Orchid Theatre, American Blues Theater (ensemble member), Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, Northlight Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Shattered Globe Theatre (former Artistic Director) and Victory Gardens Theater. He has received six Jeff Awards and four additional nominations for Principal Actor, Supporting Actor and Ensemble. Mr. Key has also toured with the Broadway production of August: Osage County and has performed at the Town Hall in Galway, Ireland; the Public Theater (in the New York transfer of Blue Surge); the Ahmanson in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center. Mr. Key’s film credits include 1,000 Acres, At Any Price, Blackmail, Public Enemies, Salvaging and Three Days. He has appeared on television in Boss, Chicago Code, Chicago Fire, Family Practice, Law & Order: SVU and The Mob Doctor.
