Artist Bio
Sona Tatoyan
(Bio as of March 2007)
Sona Tatoyan most recently appeared at the Goodman in Massacre (Sing to Your Children) during the 2006/2007 Season. On stage Sona Tatoyan has played Ani in Brainpeople at Playwrights Horizons, NY, at the Lee Strasberg Institute, LA, at Hartford Stage Company, CT and the American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco; Lila in Massacre (Sing to Your Children) at the Ensemble Studio Theatre LA (with Bill Pullman), and the LAByrinth Theatre Company, NY; and Clea in Lunatic in the Traproom at Playwrights Horizons (Jo Bonney, director). Film roles include the No Name Girl in The Tape Recorder (directed by Jose Rivera) and the starring role of Eve in The Journey (filmed in Armenia in 2000). Upcoming roles include the title role in the independent feature film Celestina (Jose Rivera, director, Walter Salles, executive producer). Sona is a member of Actors’ Equity, is on the advisory board of the Armenian Dramatic Arts Alliance and a founding member ofThe Drama Department, NY.
