Artist Bio
Sofia Jean Gomez
(Bio as of July 2007)
Sofia Jean Gomez most recently appeared at the Goodman in Mirror of the Invisible World during the 2006/2007 Season. Her Off-Broadway credits include Regrets Only directed by Christopher Ashley (Understudy). Additional theater credits include Yale Repertory Theatre’s Safe in Hell directed by Mark Wing-Davey. Credits at Yale School of Drama include The Time of Your Life as Kitty Duval, directed by Paul Mullins; Twelfth Night as Viola; Love’s Labor Lost as Nathaniel; Sleeping Beauty; and The Summer People. Stages Repertory Theatre credits include Syncopation directed by Mark Ramont. Sam Houston State University credits include A Streetcar Named Desire as Blanche; The Last Night of Ballyhoo as Lala; Our Town as Emily; Uncle Vanya as Yelena; A Doll’s House as Nora, directed by Mark Ramont; and The Laramie Project directed by Penelope Hasekoester (KC/ACTF Honors). She received a B.F.A. from Sam Houston State University and an M.F.A. from Yale School of Drama.
