Artist Bio
Shari Addison

Shari Addison most recently appeared at the Goodman in Crowns during the 2011/2012 Season. Other Goodman credits include The Gospel at Colonus and Spunk, for which she recieved two Jeff nominations. As a vocalist and theater actress, her domestic and international credits include performances at Carnegie Hall and in South Africa, Russia and Brazil. She has performed with artists Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi, BeBe Winans, Mary Mary, Michael McDonald, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, Ben Tankard and Stephanie Mills. In 2007, Ms. Addison appeared on Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) premiere broadcast of the gospel talent competition Sunday Best, and placed second. Subsequently, she appeared on BET’s Celebration of Gospel, which featured recording luminaries Pastor Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond and Patti LaBelle. She was also showcased as guest recording artist at the Dr. Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat and is a contributing author to the book Tears to Triumph. Ms. Addison appeared in Chicago’s Gospel Fest in Grant Park in 2000, and returned to the annual event in 2008 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. On television, she has performed on Chicago’s FOX and WGN networks.
