Artist Bio
Shané Williams
(Bio as of February 2002)
Shané Williams most recently appeared at the Goodman in Drowning Crow during the 2001/2002 Season. Other Goodman credits include Amy Jacques in Black Star Line, Lottie in The Ties That Bind (Jeff nominations- Best Actress and BTAA nominations for each), The Visit, Spunk and From the Mississippi Delta. Her most recent Chicago credit includes Shelita in Bee-Luther-Hatchee at Northlight Theatre. Other Chicago credits include My Other Heart, also at Northlight Theatre; Virgin Mary in Mystery Cycle Creation/Passion, Bianca in Othello and Pascula in La Fuente Ovejuna at Court Theatre; and Pecong! at Victory Gardens. Other credits include Desdemona in Goodnight Desdemona/Good Morning Juliet and Ophelia in Hamlet with San Diego Rep; and Spunk at Penumbra Theatre, among others. Ms. Williams’ television credits include Early Edition (CBS), and Missing Persons, Gabriel’s Fire, and A Case for Murder: The Howard Beach Story for ABC. Film credits include With Honors and the independent films Life Sentence, Chicago Cab, and the soon to be released Croquet Game.
