Artist Bio
Scott Parkinson
(Bio as of June 2001)
Scott Parkinson most recently appeared at the Goodman in Among the Thugs during the 2000/2001 Season. Chicago area credits include 12 productions with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, including appearances as the Fool in King Lear, Speed in The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Caesar in Antony and Cleopatra; Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Court Theatre; The Gamester at Northlight Theatre; Booth, Marchbanks in Candida and Tom in The Glass Menagerie with Writers’ Theatre; Prior in Angels in America, Parts I & II with The Journeymen; the title roles in Hamlet and Richard III at Shakespeare on the Green; and appearances with Roadworks Productions, Pegasus Players, ShawChicago, The Factory, Next Act and Peninsula Players. Regional credits include Treplev in the West Coast premiere of Tom Stoppard’s adaptation of The Seagull, directed by Jack O’Brien, and Mercutio in Daniel Sullivan’s production of Romeo and Juliet, both at the Old Globe Theatre. He will appear this fall in the title role in Richard II at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
