Scott Glenn most recently appeared at the Goodman in Finishing the Picture during the 2004/2005 Season. He was last seen on Broadway as Pale in Lanford Wilson’s Burn This. He has worked extensively off-Broadway, most recently playing the leads in Eric Overmyer’s Dark Rapture; Sam Shepard’s Killer’s Head at the Public; and Tracy Letts’ Killer Joe, for which he received a Drama League Award and a nomination by the New York Critics’ Drama Desk for Best Performance by an Actor in the 1999 season. His film work includes Nashville, Apocalypse Now, Personal Best, The Right Stuff; The Hunt for Red October; The Silence of the Lambs, Backdraft, Vertical Limit, Training Day, The Shipping News, and Buffalo Soldiers. He was awarded a Golden Boot this year for his work in Urban Cowboy, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, and Silverado. He also received a History Channel Award as “One of Hollywood’s All-Time Greatest Villains.” He was most recently seen on television playing the lead in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s A Painted House, the most watched TV movie in the last ten years. A former U.S. Marine and lifetime member of the Actor’s Studio, Mr. Glenn makes his home in Ketchum, Idaho; Los Angeles, California; and “on the road.”
