Sarah Slight

Sarah Slight is a Chicago-based dramaturg and producer, currently the Associate Artistic Producer at The Goodman. Prior to coming to the Goodman, Sarah was the Executive Artistic Director at Raven Theatre where she produced 12 plays, commissioned two new works, and led the organization through a period of artistic and institutional growth. Recent dramaturgy credits include: Do Something Pretty by Melissa Ross, dir. Jessica Fisch; Right to be Forgotten by Sharyn Rothstein, dir. Sarah Gitenstein, and The Luckiest by Melissa Ross, dir. Cody Estle (Raven Theatre); Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women by Lauren Gunderson dir. Georgette Verdin (Northlight Theatre); The Gradient by Steph Del Rosso, dir. Amelia Acosta Powell (St. Louis Rep). Sarah has also dramaturged new play workshops as part of New Stages, Fresh Produce, New Harmony Project, Ignition Festival, and at The Playwrights Center. Alongside Jess McLeod, she is the co-adapter of a condensed version of The Project(s) by PJ Paparelli and Joshua Jaeger, which toured through Chicago Public Schools and housing conferences in 2017. She also serves on the League of Chicago Theatres’ Board, teaches Civic Dramaturgy at DePaul, and is a Rivendell Ensemble Member. MFA Columbia University, BS University of Evansville.
