Artist Bio
Sándor Menéndez

Sándor Menéndez is a Cuban actor and teacher and agraduate of Havana’s Instituto Superior de Arte. Pedro Páramo marks his return to the stage with Teatro Buendía, the company that was his artistic home for over 10 years in his native Cuba. With Buendía, he performed in various productions and participated in several international festivals such as the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro in Bogota, Colombia, the Iberoamericano of Santo Domingo, the Segunda Muestra de Teatro, Sao Paul, Brazil, and Goodman Theatre’s 2010 International Latino TheatreFestival, among others. Mr. Menéndez is an ensemble member of Chicago’s Aguijón Theater where he works as actor, director and instructor, and where he recently directed and acted in the bilingual world-premiere production of Abel González Melo’s Within.
