Artist Bio
Roxanne Reese
(Bio as of March 2009)
Roxanne Reese most recently appeared at the Goodman in Magnolia during 2008/2009 Season. She is an actress, singer and comedienne. Her Broadway credits include The Lady in Brown in for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf at The Booth Theatre. She was nominated for an NAACP Award for her performance as Woman Two in Home at The Coronet Theatre in Los Angeles. Television credits include The Drunk Lady (adapted from her original character Ms. Shirley Dupree) on the Martin series and In Living Color. Film credits include Nolinda in Big Momma’s House 2 and starring roles in the two upcoming films The Hustle and Speed-Dating. Ms. Reese toured as the opening act for Mr. Richard Pryor.
