Artist Bio
Ronald Duncan
(Bio as of September 2005)
Ronald Duncan most recently appeared at the Goodman Purlie during the 2005/2006 Season. Chicago credits include King Lear, Antigone and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at the DePaul University Theatre School and Jungle Book at the Merle Reskin Theatre. Musical theater credits include Parade at Bailiwick Arts (Joseph Jefferson Award nominee 2005). Dance credits include Pepito’s Story (directed by Debbie Allen) at the Gusman Theatre; Ballet Chicago with Daniel Duell and Patricia Blair and Loloanguili at the New World School of the Arts. Mr, Duncan also participated in the New Playwrights Festival with his play The Front Porch. His awards include the Arts Recognition and Talent Search Competition 1998 and Critics Choice Award State Champion for pantomime. Mr. Duncan received a B.A. in digital cinema with a theater minor from DePaul University and attended the Second City Conservatory Program, as well as the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Miami Ballet Conservatory, Ballet Chicago and the Victory Gardens Training Program. A few choreography credits include Insurrection Holding History directed by Phyllis Griffin, the Dunco Funk Dance Company and Hip-Hop Kidz, Inc.
