Artist Bio
Raynor Scheine
(Bio as of April 2003)
Raynor Scheine most recently appeared at the Goodman in Gem of the Ocean during the 2002/2003 Season. Mr. Scheine, a veteran of over 100 stage productions, was seen in the original production of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, where he first played the character Rutherford Selig for over 300 performances, including over 100 on Broadway. This fall he filmed two television pilot westerns, Deadwood for HBO and Then Came Jones for ABC, both to be seen this fall. Other recent television appearances include JAG, Ed, Third Watch, Family Law and West Wing. His over 40 feature film roles include last year’s Disney film, The Rookie, with Dennis Quaid and The Jimmy Show with Frank Whaley. Other favorites are Fried Green Tomatoes, Funny Farm, Ghostdad, The Quick and the Dead, Ace Ventura and My Cousin Vinny.
