Artist Bio
Peter Kaczorowski
(Bio as of November 2008)
Mr. Kaczorowski most recently collaborated with the Goodman on Ruined during the 2008/2009 Season.. His Chicago credits include Where the Wild Things Are for Chicago Opera Theater and the world premiere of The Producers at Cadillac Palace. His Broadway credits include more than 35 plays and musicals, including Is He Dead?, Young Frankenstein, Curtains, Grey Gardens, Seascape, The Pajama Game, The Producers, The Music Man, Contact and Kiss Me, Kate. He has designed the lighting for numerous productions at Lincoln Center Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, New York Shakespeare Festival, Playwrights Horizons and Encores! His regional credits include work at Guthrie Theater, Center Theatre Group, La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Hartford Stage Company, Long Wharf Theatre, Old Globe Theatre and Centerstage. Mr. Kaczorowski’s opera credits include work at the Metropolitan Opera, NYCO, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Music Center Opera, Santa Fe Opera House, Seattle Opera and Opera Theatre of St. Louis. His international credits include work at the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera, Opera North, Bonn State Opera Chorus and Orchestra, Maggio Festival Florence, L’Arena di Verona, Teatro La Fenice, Cagliari and Lisbon. He is the recipient of Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Hewes design awards.
