Artist Bio
Patti Cohenour
(Bio as of January 2004)
Patti Cohenour most recently appeared at the Goodman in The Light in the Piazza during the 2003/2004 Season. She originated the Broadway roles of Mary Jane in Big River, Rosabud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (New York/London), Christine in The Phantom of the Opera (also Canada), Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music (revival), and understudied Nora in A Doll’s Life. Additional credits include Mimi in La Bohème and Isabel/Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance for the New York Shakespeare Festival; Adeline in Sweet Adeline for New York City’s Encores!; Magnolia for Hal Prince’s Showboat; Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew for Syracuse Stage; Clarice in The Servant of Two Masters for the Intiman Theatre; Oh Coward! for Seattle Repertory Theatre; Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella, Abigail in 1776, and Lili in The Secret Garden for Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre. Ms. Cohenour is a recipient of a Tony nomination, two Drama Desk nominations, the Clarence Derwent and a Theatre World Award.
